Walked over to Dreams to see if we could get dinner at Portofino but there was a wait and they weren’t able to tell us how long or give us a pager.Reception hard rock hotel & casino punta cana Casino is small but fun! Sports bar had some pool, karaoke, and TVs. ![]() The female singer from the rock show probably had the best voice of all the shows we saw (Wed - Saturday nights). Shows were fantastic! My favorite was the greatest show which is singers, acrobats, and dancers singing songs from the Greatest Showman. I am surprised they are able to walk up and through the seating though. There are many locals selling items and they do walk through the preferred and non-preferred beach areas, but they don’t bother you and walk away if you say no thank you. ![]() Beaches are well groomed, beautiful, and calm. On a hot day, it is refreshing but difficult to get in at first. And the hot tubs or jacuzzis are the same temperature as the pools. Always felt welcomed and even got a few Spanish lessons! Pools were cold - granted it is February but i would have liked them to be heated. Staff: everyone is so amazing, friendly, and accommodating, from check in through check-out. I asked for drinks with low sugar and they were always accommodated, including a low sugar mojito. I will say that staff does an AMAZING job at customizing drinks for you. One night preferred had modelo, but not other nights. Alcohol: pretty light pours on mixed drinks and not a lot of variety of beer, if any. They give you pagers, so we were able to wait in the preferred lounge or near the pool. Food: we aren’t foodies, but the food was great! LOVED the steak at the French restaurant, melted cheese/Chorizo appetizer and tortilla soup at the Mexican restaurant, and coffee at coco cafe! During the week there weren’t really waits for dinner, but Friday and Saturday we had to wait 45 minutes to get into the French and Mexican restaurants. Thankful for Maria’s help with check-in, providing a tour of the resort, moving rooms, and with check-out! She even arranged for us to hang out on the resort after checking out, having someone collect and store our luggage, and providing us a place to change and shower before leaving. I wouldn’t pay for ocean view to begin with because we were on the balcony for a total of 2 minutes - but it made for a nice photo. ![]() We were then upgraded to an ocean view room free of charge (about $600 upgrade for the remainder of our trip). We also were given a butler, Maria, who texted us every morning with the daily activities, answered any questions we had, and even helped us move rooms when there was a leak in our original room. I definitely felt it was worth it to be able to access Olio for breakfast, the lazy river cabanas, and preferred lounge for drinks before dinner. We paid for a tropical view junior suite and ended up upgrading upon arrival to preferred, the room stayed the same but amenities were added. ![]()
